During the Covid-19 pandemic, artistic expressions became a refuge for many of us. As a linguist, I found inspiration in the intriguing album title Past Perfect Future Tense by the talented musician Magne Furuholmen. The way he plays with language sparked my creativity and led me to craft a poem centered around lockdown, using linguistic terms as the foundation. Written in March 2021, Future Perfect is a poetic reflection on our collective experience during those challenging times.
